Charity Trip to Help Haiti Horses

Donation protected
As friends of Heather McManamy, we're raising money to send her to Haiti to photograph what veterinarians are doing through Equitarian Initiative (EI). Think of it as "Veterinarians Without Borders." When it comes to photography, Heather is an artist, and she will be able to beautifully document the important work being done to help the people of Haiti learn how to care for their horses, which are incredibly important to Haitians' livelihood. (The photo shows one of the horses being helped through EI in Haiti.) Her photos will be to help get the word out about EI's important work -- the only photos they have are the ones the veterinarians can quickly take while working.

Heather has given much of her time as a photographer to our riding club; this is our way to give back to her. If we raise more money than is needed to fund Heather's trip, the additional funds will be donated to the Equitarian Initiative. For information on Equitarian Initiative, go to their website: http://equitarianinitiative.org.

We take so much for granted here in the U.S. in terms of how most of our horses live and are cared for. The work EI is doing in Haiti helps the hard-working horses do their work more comfortably and safely -- from better saddles so their withers aren't rubbed raw to better nutrition and medical care.

Help us get Heather to Haiti so we can help them even more.

Thank you!
