What did the Blood Antibody Test Show?
The answer to this single question determines
the eligibility  for "proper "diagnosis of human patients who may in fact be suffering from Tick Borne Borrelia Diseases.

Borrelia - Antibody - Negative - Research [BANR]
is dedicated to   new and cutting edge 21st century methods which will improve upon traditional  20th century blood testing which attempts to detect  antibodies to Borrelia spirochetal tick transmitted infections.  Lyme Serology is a medical word to describe 20th century methods to find Blood antibodies to  Borrelia infections.

21st century diagnostic methods are DNA based [BANR] and represent considerable improvements over the past reliance on blood antibody measurements. The DNA of the borrelia family of infections [BANR]-  the target here ( plural targets for plural Borrelia species.)

Antibody status is immaterial in DNA detection [BANR] procedures . Borrelia spirochetes which bind to  Species specific DNA probes, directly visualize under the microscope, the borrelia spirochetes in the body of the
[BANR]  patient.

This  {BANR} funding appeal requests the support of persons who support  research which applies DNA based tools for identification of  Tick Borne infections in the human host.  The DNA  technology and the knowedge to apply 21st century molecular methods  are rapidly expanding into medical care of patients whose illnesses are difficult to diagnose.[BANR]

Funds donated to this outreach  BANR will be used to add to existing Validated Molecular DNA Based Methods [VMDBM} to be freely available to all physicians solely  for use in their  own medical offices. Free Training of Physicians who are motivated to learn how {VMDBM}  perform their own research  procedures in their own patient population, has already commenced. The Goal is  Tuition Free Education [TFE] of an international group of physician researchers to expand the use of DNA assisted evaluation their patient population for possible Borrelia related health issues.

The results of the  TFE research studies here,  will be placed in the public domain, and will never be patented or sold for profit. Patients under the care of  TFE graduates of this educational activity will be afforded the opportunity to submit tissues to a Research Borrelia Physician Consortium { RBPC]  for consensus evaluations.  Combined intelligence from a large group , RMPC of Physician researchers will be freely completed and sent to the  patient's physician of record for the individual patient.

The equipment needed for each physician performing such  testing  after graduation from the tutorial is
inexpensive and straightforward. It consists of  a microscope.

The manufacture of  DNA tools to specifically bind to the DNA of Borrelia which cause human disease :  this cost  is presently about $1000.00 per probe and is supported by voluntary donations. One probe detects One species of borrelia. In the USA ,today, more than 100 subspecies of borrelia burgdorferi [Bb] and additional Miyamotoi Borrelia {MB]  species are now held in collections of the scientists who seek to develop better test methods. Each of the 100+ species
[MB + Bb}; will get its own DNA probe. Collectively,  in a mixture, this collection of yet to be manufatured Borrelia species DNAprobes will be combined in a single drop-to  fabricate a "Super-borrelia-DNA -probe" mixture. These Research Tools  will enable  Graduate practicing physicians the  exclusive use of the "widest possible detection net" to entrap the agents of borrelia infection- in their own physician office laboratories.

Point of Care Methologies are now routinely available
in many physician offices, and this campaign will expand the capabilities of individual physicians to, with a microscope in their private offices , to  evaluate their own patients for DNA evidence of borrelia infections.  This harkens back to the early 20th century, when every physician was trained in and equipped with a microscope and  with the necessary  reagents for staining bacteria  ( Gram Staining) , to assist in diagnosis of  infections their own patients.

All of this  Training and Technology is , with your support, freely given, and freely received ; a high technology gift to physicians in practice for the unique benefit of their patients.

Your financial gifts to support this unique incentive to improve the quality of patient care are gratefully received.

Please Donate to this outreach,  and please know, that
no donation is too small to advance better patient care
in borrelia related human illnesses.

Respectfully,
Alan B. MacDonald, MD
