Free Healing Clinics Fundraiser

The Helaing clinic collective is comprised of everyday people. We are practitioners, organizers, healers, and community memeber alike. Last year we all came together with the desire to  provide our services to our community in an intentional and organized manner. This manifested itself by way of a 2 day Women;s healing is a free traditional healing clinic meant to serve especially vulnerable populations of women in the Bay Area. We provided free non-industrial, non-pharmaceutical, culturally traditional healing treatment sessions to women and woman-identified people who suffer from physical, mental and spiritual illnesses resulting from systemic and personal traumas/abuse and that have the least access to holistic loving care. Naturally, we could not stop there.

☆ This year we will be holding two 1-day Women‘s Healing Clinics. They will be smaller in scale, neighborhood based, and in collaboration with grassroots leaders from those neighborhoods.  Our plan is to hold one in (deep) East Oakland in June at Arroyo Park, and the second one in Richmond in August. We chose these places because they have a large population of women in mental, emotional, social and physical crisis with significant barriers to holistic care. In adittion, we also plan to host a 2-day Men's Healing clinic in November/December of this year as well as a youth centered clinic in 2015!

Our vision includes building with communities who want to be able to offer this resource to their neighborhoods without needing to depend on anyone to do it for them, because this is what we feel makes people powerful and resilient - being able to bring the solutions they know they need, in the way the need it, to their folks without involving mainstream agencies that don't always have their best interest in mind.
