Silver Fox Cheerleaders- Uniforms

Donation protected
The Silver Fox Cheerleaders are a group of twelve seniors ranging in ages 55-79.  Our goal is to stay active and healthy while serving our community through participation and education.  We were formed in 2007 by Blanche Penn who saw a need for this type of involvement.  We participated in many events both locally and statewide.  These events include the Home Run 5 K, Breast Cancer and Diabetes Walks, annual Veterans Day, Thomasboro Festival, Anita Stroud Reuion, Outreach Center, Johnson C. Smith, WBTV, Carolina Camera, WNCB, Carolina Today, Martin Luther King parades, Gator Bowl, and Thanksgiving parades.  We also visit assisted living facilities and perform at local school events, festivals, birthday parties, and churches.  Through all of our volunteering and community service we’ve been mentioned and featured in articles in the Q Citymetro New, The County News, Charlotte Observer, The Charlotte Post, and Huami magazine.
We participated in the Senior Games Silver Arts event at the Levine Center and won the gold and the right to represent Charlotte, NC on the state level.  We then traveled to Raleigh, NC to compete against six other highly motivated cheerleading squads and we WON THE GOLD MEDAL!! We are in need of new uniforms, and support when we travel. We go every where and we do not ask anyone for money. We like to see the smile of teens, seniors, and everyone face when we come out to perform.  We do have video and our website is silverfoxcheerleaders.webs.com. If someone is sick and need us to come over we will, so we need your help, thanks so m uch. Blanche Penn
