Battle of the Black, Gold, & White
Donation protected
Our annual intrasquad meet is coming up again. On December 4th the black, gold, and white teams will battle to see who gets bragging rights for another year along with the legendary trophy.
Every year we have a draft (which is cooler than the NBA and NFL draft if I must say) and the newcomers are all drafted to a team. The athletes are the ones who run the draft and make all the picks. They also strategize and put people into events that they think will help them take the title.
The meet is a mix of running, jumping, and throwing events followed by a special relay that includes a series of fun/funny events and a tug of war challenge to conclude the meet.
This year we decided to turn the meet into a fundraising event. Each squad will represent a different charity and however much money is raised will partially be donated to the charity of the winning team and the other part of the money will go towards the Wichita State Track & Field/Cross Country program.
If you would like to make a donation, please leave a comment on this page of which team you are voting for. We will keep a running tally of how many votes each team gets. The updates will be posted on the Wichita State Track & Field/XC twitter and facebook pages. This will now be counted as a scored event. Scoring will go as follows (according to the amount of votes each team receives): 1st place = 6 points, 2nd place = 4 points, 3rd place = 3 points
