Volunteer Work In Uganda

Hello! I need immediate funding to send me to Uganda, Africa. I have been given an opportunity of a lifetime to do volunteer work through the Prison Education Program (PEP) at a prison in Uganda. PEP is purely a volunteer program where college students go to prison to teach educational subjects to inmates. Recently, fellow volunteers and I have taught a course of moral philosophy to student-inmates at CRC in Norco, CA, as known as the famous "Hotel California". If you were thinking of the song 'Hotel California' by The Eagles that's what they were referring to.

The experience was humbling to see our student-inmates have such enthusiasm for gaining knowledge. As for me it was a humbling experience for men way older than me in age looking at my fellow volunteers and I for knowledge. I think out in Uganda we will accomplish what we did in Norco which is to expand their knowledge and to give them more power to strive for a better life. I need to raise $2,200 that will guarantee my round trip flight ticket and housing for my two week stay in Uganda. I will leave on May 28, 2014 and return June 17, 2014.
