Sponsor KHS Basketball Team

I have been coaching the basketball team at Kosrae High School. The Warriors have been invited to participate in the December tournament at the National Gymnasium located in Pohnpei, the capital state of the FSM. The tournament will feature schools from the different islands of Micronesia, and since Kosrae High School is the sole high school on Kosrae, the Warriors will be representing the state of Kosrae. With that in mind, the team has been training hard every day after school.

In addition to the training, the team has been fundraising for the trip to cover the cost of the trip, including airfare, lodging, food, and equipment. Each student athlete has to cover half of his airfare, which is $150, and the other half will be matched by the funds raised. The $150 is a big sum of money for the families of a developing country.

We are looking to fundraise a total of $2000 dollars to cover the airfare for the whole team. Ideally, the students wouldn’t have to pay a single penny to go on the trip. Although that is improbable, I would like to at least be able to reimburse a part of their money.

Some funds that we've been promised have yet to be delivered and the deadline is quickly approaching.
