Justice for Brooklyn

I am turning to our friends and family for my best friend. Jessica recently went to court for a custody battle for her daughter Brooklyn. Jessica has been the primary caregiver for almost 9 years, and MaryAnn has been raising Brooklyn with Jessica since she was a toddler. She lost the case due to discrimination. Brooklyn's father asked for a jury because Texas is a conservative state. He based the case around the fact that Jessica is married to a woman and tried to make it appear they are trying to push a "lesbian lifestyle" and "transgenderism" on Brooklyn because they allow Brooklyn to dress to express herself. Brooklyn is devastated that she will be removed from her moms and brother, Journey. Maryann and Jessica love their kids and it shows. Jessica has a degree in Psychology and Child Learning and Development and works for a Childrens Advocacy Center. MaryAnn is a Police Officer.
They both love children so much that they fostered children and have adopted one out of foster care. I am coming to you for help and to ask for donations for them as they have just had to hire a new lawyer to try to appeal the verdict. They have had to go to court twice already and are needing to get the transcripts from the trial so the new lawyer can try to start working on an appeal. To make this right for their daughter, the fees are only getting bigger. Any donations will help them fight for justice to keep Brooklyn at home with her moms, where she wants to be.
