Please help support Yam Benshimon
Yam Ben Shimon was an otherwise healthy 15-year-old honor student prior to March of 2015. In March of 2015, she was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and underwent testing that confirmed that she had a clotting disorder that predisposed her to clots. Sadly, she was not given any blood thinners. Nearly one year later in February of 2016, Yam developed a massive blood clot to her brain that has left her profoundly and complete disabled. Yam is unable to perform any activities for herself and is dependent on her parents and siblings for absolutely everything including the most basic things that we all take for granted. Yam cannot even be fed by mouth. Her insurance does not cover many of her basic necessities, including therapies and attendant care. Virtually all of the care is provided by her loved ones.
The Ben Shimon Family doesn't deserve any of this; expenses are through the roof and the family cannot afford her care. Any donations made will be put to her medical bills and any future medical needs.
With all of this being said, I'm reaching out to friends and family, if you feel you're able to donate, any amount will help and will be greatly appreciated.
