Send Omar to The National Bowl

Hi my name is Omar Kharroub and i have always had a passion for football. Growing up i have always been told i cant do it and today those critics can stand wrong. I have been blessed with an oppurtunity to play football since i was a little boy and even though my life was not the easiest life, i still found a get away with football. I was always told i was too short, too weak, too dumb, or just too everything. I was told i cant play quarterback for any level but i proved those people through pop warner, high school, and college. My college career has had its ups and downs but for some reason i am still standing so it must mean something. I have always had dreams and ambitions to play football proffessionally, why not we only live life once so why not give it our all! I have shown bright spots through my 4 years of playing in college and coaches all around the nation have noticed. I have been invited to National Bowl in Miami, Florida on December 6th where numerous coaches from the NFL, CFL, AFL, IFL and other Europeans/ German league coaches will attend and scout. To be invited to this is a big deal especially for a 5'11 quarterback from South San Francisco but i was nominated by a bowl commitee that consists of former and current proffessional coaches around the world. This must mean something, i dont know if they were attracted to my physical ability or just my ability to lead others around me and show success with doing so. With all that said, the possibility of achieving my dreams can actually happen. The national bowl ofcourse costs money and even for the Division 1 players themselves this does cost money. Those players are at big schools where they can be funded through those big schools accounts. I play at a small school in Kansas and my journey has been interesting so the school is unable to fund it so i am on my own. It cost $895 for 3 days of meals and 3 days of hotel stay and other amenities that come with the game. To be invited to a game like this is a big deal because nobody thought i can make it this far, there were times full of tears, bumps, bruises, and setbacks that just almost snatched my dreams away but for some reason i am still standing here with this oppurtunity. I was fat, short, and just too far away from ever being able to play college Quarterback but i promise everyone who knows me, know i do something well... and that is work hard! I have trained endlessly for them and the time to snatch my dreams is near. There are many coaches that have turned me and down and looked the other way but even with that i was able to accomplish so much on and off the field. My life has not been the prototypical perfect life, and i have had to deal with issues that can make a man like me give up and fail. I refuse to and all i ask is for some help, this will be a gift from god. i will not look at an individual differently if he or she is not able to help me becaus i understand life is tough, but all we can do is find a way to get through these daily obstacles that seem to stand in our way at times. Thank you and god bless you either way!
