Joey is a 23 yr old USF PreMed Student has spent his life combating kidney disease.
In April 2016 Joe has Kidney Transplant due to rare genetic kidney disease; Alport Syndrome.
10 weeks after transplant Joe is diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer which was a direct complication from transplant.
Joe, his younger brother and I were served foreclosure papers after coming home from one of Joe's six hour chemotherapy treatments.
Joe is still recovering from chemo and neuropathy as well as other complications from the chemo and still has severe hearing loss and now fighting to save his home. Living with the constant uncertainty of what will happen to him and his family.
The numerous trips to hospitals across the state and out of state, a long and complicated divorce still in progress has emptied our savings and prevented me, Joe's mom from obtaining employment, as many have said, you are not going to be available to work while your son is going through these medical complications and justly they are correct, so I am trying to grow my business from home so that I can provide for my sons and be available to be Joe's caregiver.
It is my hope and prayer that together we can help save Joe's home so that if anything happens to me, my sons will have a safe place to live and a healthy environment for Joe to recover. PTLD is something that will be a threat of returning for the remainder of Joe's life.
Please help us save Joe's home...
Hugs
Dana
