Achilles' Heart GoFundMe
Donation protected
ACHILLES, a young BENGAL, was rescued and adopted earlier this year after he was abandoned at an Atlanta area veterinary clinic. The original owner & breeder rejected Achilles when it was discovered that he has a congenital heart/lung malformation and would require daily medication and monitoring.
Recently Achilles underwent emergency treatment and a rare R lung surgery, (double lobectomy), at VSS-Veterinary Specialty Services in Saint Louis. His recovery and healing process has been very positive and along with specialized care from his family (mom’s a nurse), he’s expected to recover and live an active life.
His veterinary expenses sky-rocketed when it was determine that he would require emergency surgery and extensive post-op critical care. Achilles adopted family has agreed to guarantee his veterinary expenses, and has received a generous contribution from FLUFF the rescue organization who secured Achilles from the Atlanta veterinary clinic. However, your support with donations, sharing his story of rescue, surgery and recovery, prayers and well wishes are greatly appreciated!!
Achilles is an affectionate, gentle, and very vocal 14 month old Bengal, that loves life.
