Adam's Emergency Medical/Supply Fund
The Adams County Dog and Kennel Department, in Ohio, brought this sweet boy to the Fleming Regional Animal Care and Surgical Center, Wednesday evening. He was confiscated from a trailer, where he broke through a glass window and was hanging by his rear left hind leg. He is a severely emaciated and starved German Shepherd about 7 yrs old. He was unable to walk as everything in his rear right leg was torn. Dr Kampalli was considering euthanasia as the back leg was just dangling, but wanted to give him until Monday, as he was trying so hard to stand. He had attempted to escape the hell he had been living in, for God knows how long. Thanks to a Good Samaritan for calling the pound and our Warden taking this sweet dog to get immediate emergency care. We are still waiting to hear if he needs surgery. Right now, Adam is displaying a strong will to walk and get well. He is eating and gaining strength every day.
Donations are needed to pay for Adam's vetting and boarding. Our Warden, Mike Darnell has been doing a great job helping and saving dogs that come to him with injuries and bad health. Adam makes the 4th dog he has saved during the week of Christmas and New Year's Holidays. Thank you so much Warden Mike! The Medical and Supply fund is greatly needed to have resources on hand for these emergencies. Adam's bills will be paid and the excess will help build up the medical/supply fund for future emergencies. Please give what you can to help! Thanks!
My husband and I are volunteers that help the animals of Adams County Ohio. We are the driver's of Lickety Split Pet Transport and formed the ACORN Adams County Ohio Rescue Network group so we can post about animals needing help and educating folks about how they can better take care of their animals.
Please help us help Adam!
Everyone has been praying hard for him and today, the prayers were answered. Adam walked Friday evening!! Our Kelli Lefler sent this great video. Adam is our New Year's Miracle. Thank you Father for his life and for lifting him up onto his feet. Please continue to pray for Adam to get stronger and fully recover.
