Alejandra Nunez

Alejandra Nunez is 32 years old and has 2 young girls ages 10 and 12 (turning 13 on June 26). Alejandra has been battling diabetes since age 18. Between kidney failure, frequent extended hospital stays, Ketoacidosis, neuropathy, blood transfusions, dialysis and much more, she has struggled to keep her diabetes under control, She is currently hospitalized at Rancho Springs Medical Center on life support and she has been on life support for almost 2 weeks. She has severe brain damage and is unable to breathe on her own without being connected to life support. According to the neurologist, her chances of living a normal life again are highly unlikely. If we kept her on a ventilator, she would be sent to a medical facility on the ventilator and not be able to experience the true meaning of life. She would be a vegetable just laying in a hospital bed for the rest of her life. She had expressed to family members that she wouldn't ever want to be hooked up to a ventilator to keep her alive. Trying to honor her wishes and alleviating the pain, our family has decided to let her go peacefully by taking her off life support Sunday evening  6/19/16. With that, we will need to arrange viewing/ funeral arrangements for her which is why we are asking for your help to help cover the costs. Our mother has been her caregiver as well as her children's for the past years. Since Alejandra's hospitalization, our mother has taken a family leave from work to be by Alejandra's side. Our father is currently out of work and money is tight. We would appreciate any contribution to help alleviate the financial burden from our parents. Any little bit helps. Thoughts and prayers for our entire family are also being requested for strength for my family during this difficult time.
