I am Alicia Lindheimer and I need help to allow me to visit the colleges I am applying to that are too far away to drive. Three of the colleges I'm applying to that I need help going to see are UC Davis in Northern California, Portland University in Oregon and Seattle University in Washington. My long term goal is to become a Veterinary physician and these schools either have a pre vet program or a good animal biology program. Either one will help me prepare for veterinarian school after completing my undergraduate work. I am unable to visit these cololeges without your help.
During my time in high school I have maintained a 4.33 GPA and have participated in several invitation only biology programs and competitions. Some of my accomplishments during the past 3+ years of high school are:

In my junior year I was inducted into the National Honor Society, which honors outstanding students in leadership, academics, and service.
NAHS (National Arts Honor Society)
In my junior year I was inducted into the National Arts Honors Society, an honors society for students with outstanding artistic ability, leadership, and service.
NSHS (National Science Honors Society)
In my senior year I was inducted into the National Science Honors Society, is a prominent scientific organization that identifies a new generation of young thinkers who will be the future of industry, research, and scientific exploration for America.
NEHS (National English Honors Society)
In my junior year I was inducted into the National English Honors Society. The NEHS is the only national organization exclusively for high school students who, in the field of English, merit special note for past and current accomplishments.
*There is currently only one other student who has been inducted into all 4 honor societies
CSF (California Scholarship Federation) Lifetime Member
California Scholarship Federation seeks to recognize students living in the state of California who possess continuous high standards in academics.
St. Teresa of Calcutta Service Award
The St. Teresa of Calcutta Service Award is presented to students who have tripled the required number of service hours during a single school year.

iGem is a synthetic biology competition where high schools and colleges from around the world compete.
The Alverno Igem team earned a Silver Medal at the international iGem competition in Boston. The Alverno iGem team was the only all-girls’ school competing in the 2016 iGem competition.

SEAL (Solar Energy Activity Lab) is a program in collaboration with Caltech in which high school students participate in solar energy research.

As an Alverno Heights Academy ambassador, I assist in promoting my school to the outside community by presenting at middle schools and high school nights, working school events, and giving tours of our campus.
