Breast Cancer Found My Sister!
Donation protected
My big sister, Allison Berry, has been diagnosed with breast cancer (invasive lobular carcinoma). She is a single working mom with two jobs. She is a realtor on Galveston island and surrounding areas and sells ad space for the local paper. Her mortgage, as well as other monthly bills are becoming overwhelming as medical expenses increase. She isn't comfortable with asking for help, however, as the "aggressively helpful" sister...I am. When asked what she needs, her only reply is "soup."
Growing up she was my idol. She graduated from the University of Texas Austin and never let me think college was not an option. She also played drums in a "pink-rock" band and dressed like Blondie. She taught me how to put on eyeliner and pluck my eyebrows. She made sure my (cd book) was full of good music; the Gogo's, the Beatles, the Doors... to name a few.
Allison is my daughter's god-mother and stood next to me as my maid of honor when I married my husband. My sister's daughter is more than my niece... she's part of our home. That kid is FUNNY.
This cancer diagnosis has come out of nowhere. They say it doesn't discriminate... they're not kidding.
Cancer goes after everything... my goal is to save my sisters credit while doctors and prayers cover the rest.
Please reach out however you can...
