Allison's Down Syndrome World Games

From July 15 to July 22 Allison will be competing at The first Trisome Games as a part of Swim Team USA in Florence, Italy.
These games are the first ever combined World Championships for athletes with Down Syndrome in Swimming, Synchronized Swimming , Gymnsatics, Table Tennis, Tennis, Judo, Athletics and Futsal. Over 500 athletes from 20+ countries will compete in all these different sports.
Only 4 swimmers from the United States will be attending these games.
Allison has been competing in local swim meets with Team Swim Academy to achieve the qualifying times necessary to participate at the Trisome Games. She has earned qualifying times for 5 events in Italy. Allison currently holds 6 American records with the Down Syndrome International Swimming Organization. Allison's coach has also been invited to attend the Trisome Games as the head coach for Team USA.
Unfortunately, unlike other countries, the USA does not provide funding for these athletes. So in order to make this possible for Allison and her coach need your help with the costs for training, uniforms, and travel.
The estimated funds needed to cover the remaining costs of the trip are $4000.
