The Short Background:
SLUT
A word that exploded into a new, but disturbing, context after a Toronto police officer told a crowd of college women that, if they wanted to avoid sexual assault, they shouldn’t dress like sluts.
This sparked a worldwide campaign that outraged men and women across the country.
We join the movement on this cause against sexual injustice, victim blaming, derogatory labeling, and gender inequality.
NO MORE SEXUAL VIOLENCE
NO MORE VICTIM BLAMING
NO MORE DEROGATORY LABELS
NO MORE GENDER INEQUALITY
The History:
The Amber Rose SlutWalk is a nonprofit event playing a monumental role in the movement towards gender equality, ending rape culture, victim blaming, slut and body shaming, and many other social justice issues.
This movement began back in 2011 in Toronto, when a police officer told a crowd of college women that, if they wanted to avoid sexual assault, they shouldn’t dress like sluts. The SlutWalk has now become a global movement, with grassroots success in over 200 countries, taking a stand against sexual injustice, victim blaming, and derogatory labeling.
The Amber Rose SlutWalk Experience:
The Amber Rose SlutWalk experience is unlike any other SlutWalk or feminist event in the world. The event provides a full street parade, vibrant installations, artists, entertainers, and speakers to entertain, educate, and empower the SlutWalk audience, while creating unforgettable memories.
The official date, time, and location details for the 2017 event will be released in April 2017, but we will return to downtown Los Angeles!

About Your Donations:
Your support to the Amber Rose Slut Walk is greatly appreciated. This event is hosted by The Amber Rose Foundation, a non-profit organization. Amber started to support her core mission of uplifting, empowering, and enhancing the platform of women across the globe. The money received from donations to this event will bring this event to life, with on-site services, such as HIV testing, sexual awareness booths, food vendors, merchandise vendors, and a host of other services. Most importantly, your donation will support our foundation and groups and organizations of women subject to slut shaming, a lack of implication of double standards, sexual assault, and even rape.
