My name is Amira Alexander I am from Alpharetta Georgia. I graduated from Kent State University on May 14, 2016 with a B.S. in Educational Studies and minor in Psychology. Now the time has come for me to begin a new journey. Throughout my junior golf career and collegiate golf career I have received great support from family, coaches, and friends. Those who know me personally know how passionate I am for the game of golf. Since I was a child my dream has always been to become a professional golfer on the LPGA tour. This journey is going to be a major challenge in my life. The cost and sacrifices of this endeavor are going to be a major challenge for me. The average cost for women on the LPGA tour can run about $30,000-$50,000 per year. That will include my traveling expenses, tournament entry fees, and coaching/caddy fees. I am in no position financially to undertake that amount by myself. Therefore, I ask you, my family and friends to support me in any way possible. To start my road to the LPGA tour I will be competing at the first stage of LPGA Qualifying School (Mission Hills, California) during the last week in August. Making my way through each stage will allow different levels of competition. In making the second stage I will have Symetra Tour status, and when I finish in the top 25 at the third stage I will have full playing rights on the LPGA. Your contribution will help me to compete with the best in the world and bring me closer to reaching my goal of playing professional golf on the LPGA. Currently I am training every day, physically and mentally, preparing myself for Qualifying school in August.
