Anna's Service Dog
Donation protected
My name is Mark Campbell and my wife Anna Campbell has been diagnosed with Severe Anxiety/Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for most of her life, (ever since she was a 9).We've been married for 15 years and have 3 children. My wife Anna went to college, worked as a nurse and helped with raising our children until 2008, when I became disabled. Anna then left her job and became my caregiver. She would do everything for me and the children, working any jobs she could from home while taking care of us. The only thing as a husband, I feel, I did for her was to help her get through her Panic Attacks and PTSD episodes.
Now, my health is deteriorating and I am no longer able to help her through the paralyzing panic attacks and PTSD episodes. Anna spoke to her Psychologist and he was in agreement that a Service Dog for Anna might help with the hurdles she faces everyday, but she cannot travel back east to the organizations that train the dogs. Plus the cost of these service dogs are often over $20,000.We are on a fixed income of my SSI and Pension, living month to month like a lot of people do now. However, Anna is not a quitter and does not give up when faced with a problem. She wants to be there as my caregiver and become more independent so I don't worry about her.
Anna researched and found that dog trainers could do what the organizations do plus Anna could participate for a fraction of the cost. We came in contact with a Pro dog trainer and we met. Collectively we decided that using an animal from a rescue was the perfect idea by giving Anna a chance at independence and the dog a forever home with purpose. The trainer said Anna is a good candidate for a service dog and they are willing to help locate and pick out a dog that would meet Anna's needs. It could cost up to &10,000 to evaluate/find the right dog, travel expenses to get the dog, adoption fees, immediate training for the dog and Anna, with ongoing maintenance training.
*** Any leftover funds will go towards veterinary expenses and insurance for the dog***
Anna has given me the world, now as a family we would like to do this for he,r to repay her for all she has done for us and with a service dog she will continue to do so as a stronger, more independent, person.
We are asking for any donation that you can give. No amount is too small and we appreciate if you can share our Go Fund Me Page.
Thank you in advance.
God Bless, Mark, Anna, Kristina, Mickayla and Branden
