STEP UP for ANNA’S Rare Stroke
Donation protected
What if you lost your best friend, daughter, favorite auntie, niece, cousin, sister, or girlfriend? My heart was crumbling. I cried for days. I still cry but they are turning into tears of happiness. Tough times don’t last, but tough people do. This fundraiser will be used to help Anna Dravland keep her home, her life, her health, and pay continuous medical bills, and therapy.
It was a regular day sending a text to my friend. I didn’t hear back from her. A few hours earlier Anna was walking to work with a headache and her vision was failing her. Scared, she looked for a passerby, a car was down the road as she collapsed to the snowy ground. She thought they wouldn’t stop, thought she was going to die. Somebody above was watching over Anna and sent Nancy Maas, NMU nursing instructor, to drive by that exact moment. As Anna laid down on the ground unable to move, Nancy scooped her up into her arms and laid on the ground waiting for the ambulance. Anna was in the hospital within ten minutes. Next thing she knew the doctors were tossing her around trying to save her life. Then, came the frustration of the inability to speak or move. We thought only old people had strokes. At age 34 she is slowly regaining balance, speech, and the mentality to function in the real world.
Thank goodness for family and friends that immediately stepped up to help in any way possible. The biggest thank you to Nancy Mass who saved Anna’s life. Tears of happiness were shared as Anna could walk with assistance. We all know she is strong and she will be tough. Anna should be a Marquette celebrity. She promotes community events and organizes fundraising. She cares more then you can imagine. Her heart is only full while helping others. It is now your turn to help her as money is the last thing she should be worried about. She can not return to work without the doctors ok. Anna and her family need your urgent help please. There will be many more tests, treatments, and therapies to follow up with.
Friends are the family we choose.
There will be a community, friends, and family fundraiser March 4th at the Masonic square on Washington ST
She wants it to be fun and funny.
We will need volunteers and donations for prizes for this event
