AVI support to Kahramanmaraş earthquake victims

Art Vision İstanbul is collecting donations to send directly to Ahbap and the Türk Kızılayı (Turkish Red Crescent) to provide medical support and shelter for people injured or displaced by the earthquake. Ahbap is a Turkish community-run organisation that delivers containers in safe zones near the impacted areas along with food, medical care, shelter and comfort. As it is a community-run group it avoids the large government taxation process, meaning your donation is guaranteed to be used on-ground. They work in collaboration with the major NGOs and humanitarian groups such as Türk Kızılayı and UNICEF.

During the early hours of 6th February 2023, a 7.9 magnitude earthquake hit the south-eastern provinces of Türkiye and north-western Syria. This was followed by a second 7.4 magnitude earthquake. The impacts have been unprecedented with the current death toll over 18,000 and rising. Our aim is to allow Australians to make an easy donation to support authentic and hard-working NGOs on-ground to save lives.
