Autism Service Dog for Axton

Donation protected
Axton is a sweet loving five year old boy with a bright personality who loves Star Wars, Super Heros and the color Red. At first glance, he appears just like any other rambunctious little boy. However, in just a little while, you'll notice that Axton struggles with certain everyday normal task. Axton has PDD, ADHD and Autism. He not only has difficulty following commands, he has no sense of danger and is prone to running off. Axton has a very obsessive personality, so if his mind is set on something particular its hard to redirect his attention onto something else.

I see first-hand the constant fear that moms and dads live with knowing that a child with these tendencies is always at risk. There have been several instances in which Axton bolted from us and immediately ran toward the street or moving car. As with many children with autism, Axton is innately drawn to water and moving cars. Despite his challenges, Axton is a promblem-solver, making him an excellent escape artist! As a result, someone must be assigned to holding on to Axton to ensure his safety. Consequently, we never rest physically or emotionally. And, Axton doesn't get to have the independence that every little boy deserves.

After many tears and much research, we discovered Autism Service Dogs. As an answer to countless prayers, Axton was accepted into the Gallifrey's Service Dog Training Program. While tethered to the autism service dog, Axton will be able to walk alone, giving him that needed independence. Axton's service dog will protect him from running off and will be able to relieve his anxiety by applying deep pressure upon command. His service will also help to redirect Axton's attention when he is having a melt down. An added blessing is the companionship that the dog will provide Axton, who struggles to make connections with other people and kids his age.

The cost of training a dog  to become a trained service dog, who will accompany Axton everywhere, including school, is $10,000. The program has already begun his training so we need to raise these funds as soon as possible Please join me in raising the money to bless Axton with a life-changing service dog.

Thank you so much for your consideration.
