Bloom Coffee Roasters

In December 2017, we shut our doors to reassess our space, our structure and ourselves. We didn't know what was ahead, but we knew we wanted to get our café doors open.  We've been running our roasting operations in the meantime and things have been going quite well.  Somewhere along the way, we decided to expand our café, purchase the necessary equipment to provide a superior product, and get our doors back open by the end of April.  In March, both owners, Jared and Cameron celebrated the birth of their daughters, just 3 days apart. They are both beautiful and very healthy. But Jared and Cameron had to make adjustments and sacrifices of their own health to get the space ready and work on the structures that the business desperately needed before getting the café open. This was the first cause in delays and we both apologize for over committing ourselves during this time. We hope you understand.

Well, the end of April is here. The space is nearly ready. There's just a few more touch ups to finish. But the biggest hurdle has been the installation of a under-counter sink, which we're waiting for approval on. We've been waiting for nearly a month for the local government to get back with us and there hasn't been any movement. As a result, the department of agriculture won't approve us until the sink is installed and approved by the plumbing department.

We have stretched the budget very thin, and we still need to purchase inventory and pay our new cafés staff for the help they've put into our café. We need time to train on the new equipment (a couple of weeks) and the necessary  cash flows that come with running a business. Most of all, we need to get current so that our hard work in building a new café doesn't get thrown in the trash.

It's been a grueling season. It's been tremendously stressful and overwhelming for the owners, and the staff who have been saints throughout the process. We've lost a few great people, though. We've had to part ways with an owner and friend. Our families have been asked to tap their resources and bank accounts. We've given everything we have to exist in this community, and now we are faced with something we never wanted to do; ask our community for help.

Those who fund us to get us through the remaining weeks of this project will receive rewards of plenty. We're offering coffee club memberships, merch, and more. We love this community. We miss your beautiful faces. We are eager to invite you into our space and to share in your daily experience. Anything helps. We appreciate it, more than you know.

The rewards are as follows:
