Bill Bierworth's Foster Sanctuary

Here in San Angelo, Texas, there is a HUGE need for support in rescue. We are overwhelmed with abandoned and owner surrendered dogs. Lack of neutering and spay ordinance enforcement, over-breeding, and a lack of awareness has created a necessity for safe havens outside of the shelter. My aim is to prevent unnecessary euthanasia of dogs that end up being turned in at the shelter, and to give these lost or abandoned animals a stable home environment they can recover and thrive in. These dogs need immediate help! Many are sick or injured, scared and alone, and need to be cared for. I believe that by providing a safe space for shelter overflow and prioritizing keeping puppies out of the shelter, I can contribute to the goal of helping San Angelo achieve a true no-kill environment at the shelter. My goal is more ambitious than just fostering a few dogs here and there, as the need is greater than what we can collectively handle right now as is.
I want to do more to help. I have 1 1/2 acres in the country with my home and several existing buildings that can outfit to further this purpose. The need for additional facilities here is strong and sustainable, but only with help!
I will use the funds to renovate a 20X30 building, repair and expand fencing on 1/2 acre so I can foster more dogs and give them room to run and exercise. Our rescues and fosters will not be caged. Instead, I plan on having several open areas for socialization fenced with shelter when it is too warm or cool for them to be outside. I also have  an extra room in my home I will use to care for injured and recovering dogs like Tuff Guy here in the photo.
I will use all donations for furthering these goals, and I plan on publishing updates with every goal we reach.
I work hard to find permanent loving homes for my fosters, and attend as many adoption events that I am able in order to help other rescues as well.
With your help, I can foster and care for more dogs and puppies, and assist with working towards achieving a true no-kill shelter here in San Angelo. I am incredibly grateful for any assistance. Please help.
