BIRD BEARD BATTLE - Save or Shave?!
Donation protected
In an attempt to provide a solid donation for The Center for Birds of Prey , and in celebration of my 40th Birthday (4/15), I am putting the fate of my beard in your hands.
It all comes down to you - the wish list item with the most funds raised at the end of the campaign wins! Instead of the massively expensive gifts you planned on buying me for making it to 40, scroll down to the bottom of the page to choose my beard's fate (and cast your vote through a donation).
Or if you are in a hurry to donate and don't want all the details:
Who Benefits?
1. YOU! - you get to be part of my beard story
2. The Center for Birds of Prey . Know that you gave to a good cause, even if your side comes up short!
What Benefits do you get as a donor?
As I am considering all donations a gift that will be given to The Center for Birds of Prey ... here is all I can provide:
Anyone donating $25+ will definitely get a $0 value emailed pic of my beard/shorn face depending on which they vote for.... and a one-time redeemable, quality high-five , hug or fist pound (to be negotiated between us if we ever meet in person).
All will get a hearty thanks!
How long will this go on?
The campaign will end once I decide to go to bed on 4/15.... which might be around 8pm since I am getting up in years.
Bird Beard Backstory:
My bird beard was born in 2011. I had just started as a volunteer at The Center for Birds of Prey, and I was able to take my beard to the Great Wall of China a few short months after its birth

In 2012, I was able to introduce my beard to the beauty of public flight demonstrations at The Center for Bird of Prey:

In 2013, my beard (side beard) was honored to be included in The Center for Birds of Prey feature on The Today Show:

In 2014, my beard made it to the sacred grounds at Augusta... in an official Masters photo of the honorary starters (with a special appearance by "Lefty" doing a Where's Waldo impression in the upper left)

2015 started out pretty stressful for my beard, as I made an unfortunate decision to butcher my furry pal...
...but guilt brought him back to life throughout 2015 and into 2016 to get to his current glory:

For those that put monies towards either solution, know that your donations are going to a great cause, and my beard is willing to make the sacrifice if called upon.
If "Save it" is chosen - I will do a bit of sculpting to turn my unruly face mane into something a bit more wife friendly... somewhere in between this:
and this:

Thank you for your attention/time/donations, I look forward to keeping you up to date on progress!
