Hi everyone,
My name is Laura Springob and I am a close friend of Carolyn Bissell's. Carolyn and I met when her oldest son joined my Cub Scout Den. Our families grew closer through our sons' love of sports and shared classrooms. Last year, Carolyn and I became even closer when she became my Girl Scout Co-Leader and helped teach and inspire 17 sweet little girls, including her daughter and mine. Not only is Carolyn a wonderful leader and a big fan of her children's sports, but she is also an amazing mother. An amazing mother with fantastic kids who REALLY need our help...
Losing a husband is devastating, especially unexpectedly. Words can not explain what Carolyn is going through, yet she is staying so strong and brave for her hurting children.
Losing a father is also so devastating and traumatic. For those of you that did not know Chad well, he was active in Alex's Cub Scout and Piper's Girl Scout lives. He helped Alex and Piper raise money for his Pack and her Troop. Through Cub Scouts, he made many lasting memories from building and racing a Pinewood Derby car to making cakes that benefitted the Food Pantry of New Berlin. Chad also was an avid fan of Alex and Piper's athletics and was present at almost every game; he even helped coach from time to time. Although Clyde might not have been old enough to participate in these planned activities, Chad spent much time with his youngest son. For all of you that witnessed Chad being a part of his children's life at school, in their personal life, and/or on the field/court, you could tell that he was a proud father who deeply loved his children.
Because Chad left so abruptly, Carolyn, Alex, Piper, and Clyde will need extra love, support, and understanding; they will FOREVER miss their husband/father.
I am hoping that if we can all band together and raise money to help support Carolyn and her children, our donations will lead to the family worrying less about monetary things and give them more time to spend together celebrating the memories of Chad, moving forward successfully, and rebuilding their family. Our dontations will also give the Bissell Family hope for the future, as it will help Carolyn save for their college educations.
YOUR GENEROSITY AND KINDNESS WILL SUPPORT THE BISSELL FAMILY'S DAILY SUCCESS AND THEIR FUTURE. FOR THAT, THEY, AND ALL OF THOSE WHO LOVE THEM, WILL BE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL.
Sincerely,
a dear friend of the Bissell Family
