Braille's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
My name is Braille. A few months ago, I had to get bilateral enucleation surgery - this means that both of my eyes were removed. I was found on death's door, but luckily a nice woman brought me to the Philadelphia shelter (ACCT Philly)! I had an upper respiratory infection so bad that I couldn't see and could barely eat and breathe. I was a little over five weeks old, but only weighed 0.70 pounds. One of my new mommies works at the shelter, and wouldn't let them euthanize me.. Her name is Sara! She and my other mommy, Erin, are trying super hard to make me comfortable. I'm feeling way better, I remembered how to purr, and I love playing with my sisters, Daisy and Lily!
Unfortunately, I was also diagnosed with chronic seizures and am going through the necessary tests to determine the cause. In the meantime, I am doing a lot of relaxing with my mommies and trying to have as much fun as I can!
Every cent of the donation money will be put towards making Braille healthy and comfortable. This means any additional veterinary fees (for checkups, medication, and tests), toys specifically for comforting blind kitties, and for helping other kittens like me!
Please feel free to contact us with any questions, and be sure to like my facebook page for updates on Braille's health and wellbeing!
Braille the Blind Kitten
Thank you so much for your kind words, prayers, and donations if you are able to give them. Positive vibes, friends, sharing her story, and likes on her page are just as helpful as any monetary donation... and we thank you SO much for giving us all hope and love!!!
