Brenda's Fight Against Cancer

This is my best friend, Brenda McKay.  For the last 17 years that I've known her, she has always dreamed of moving from Chicago to live near the ocean in Florida. Finally last year she decided it was time in her life to go for it, and she set off to Cape Coral, Florida. She transferred her job to their Fort Myers location, and found a perfect home for her. She was so incredibly happy and thankful. Then one day she went for her annual mammogram, and her bubble was suddenly burst.

She was diagnosed with a very serious form of breast cancer. The specialists informed her that this is not the typical type of breast cancer, it's much more serious, and much more aggressive. In fact, it had already grown and spread to some lymph nodes between the time she was diagnosed and the time she began her treatments.

She has already had two surgeries, and if all goes well, her treatment plan is to have 20-24 weeks of chemotherapy, followed by another surgery, and then radiation treatments. 

Brenda is being very brave, and emotionally strong with a positive outlook, however I can tell that this is starting to wear her down. The treatments are making her feel unwell and fatigued and her medical bills are piling up. She lives alone and supports herself. She has no other means of support, and no subsequent income to rely on to get her through this.

So I am reaching out to ask everyone for your prayers and support. In calculating existing and expected medical bills, some living expenses (such as grass cutting, and cleaning that she cannot do herself right now), and time off of work, she will need approximately $25,000.  This is financially devastating for her already, and with her treatment plan as expected, she will be going through this thru the end of this year (2015.)

Please help my friend, Brenda, get through this very difficult, challenging time, with prayers, support, and by passing this on.
