Brianna for Miss BUSAM - Georgia

Donation protected
I am Brianna Wiggins, and I am on the road to become the next Miss Black US Ambassador 2015. The pageant will be held in June 2015. I am currently Miss Black Georgia US Ambassador! My Goal is to raise $2,000 by June 15th and I need your help!  I cannot accomplish my dream of becoming Miss Black US Ambassador 2015 without the help of family, friends, and organizations in my community. All funds raised will be expended for wardrobe and other accommodations and incurred expenses during the Miss Black US Ambassador pageant. Your donation will allow me to achieve one of my goals as well as prepare for the competition and help to develop a thorough and life changing platform. I know I have what it takes to be an ambassador of change, to become the next Miss Black US Ambassador.  I just need your help along the way! I am grateful for whatever donations I receive. A little can go a long way so, remember that no amount is too small.

I would love the opportunity to become the next Miss Black US Ambassador because I believe that we are the change that we long for. By becoming MBUSAM, I will be able to use this opportunity as a platform to help make the change where it begins – with our youth. As a dance educator, I believe that through exposure to the arts, children can gain confidence not only as people, but also academically and emotionally. Statistics show that students that are exposed to the arts perform better on standardized tests including the SAT and ACT, and at-risk youths who learn in arts-integrated settings perform better in math, as well as show improvements in reading.  Each and every person on this earth has a purpose, a story, and I intend to help as many as possible find theirs through dance, music, art, and theater! My focus is to encourage and promote the arts within the black and underprivileged communities; especially with young ladies of color between the ages of 5 and 15. Through this platform I want to challenge our youth to think critically, communicate clearly, and reason analytically – to be extraordinary. We were made for more. We were made to be EXTRAORDINARY beings.  Lets strive to help make the arts more available to all children and to encourage them to get involved! What will your story be? Will you help someone illustrate theirs? We have the opportunity to change the path of our lives in an instant. Why not change it now? #ExtraordinaryBeings
