About Us
We are a group of passionate fight students who want to help our coach launch his own facility where we can gather and study all aspects of Muay Thai.
Our Coach
Chadrick Turner is the rock upon which our fight family was built. With a background in Hapkido, his trajectory was forever changed when he happened across a fight between Alex Gong and Duane Ludwig in 2001. Inspired by Gong, he immersed himself in the styles, traditions, and culture of Muay Thai. His own fight journey was interrupted just shy of his opportunity to participate in final selections for the 2009 US "Dream Team" after suffering a pulmonary embolism. Though down, he was far from out, focusing his efforts on extending his knowledge to a new wave of nak muay.
As passionate about his students as he is about the Art itself, Chad has been more than a coach. He is a teacher, a mentor, and an advocate for us all. Every step he has taken along his journey has been to ensure that he and all of us are given the type of training, consideration, and respect that our dedication demands.
You Can Help
Coach Chad has inspired us, so wherever he goes, we go. The combatives people at Ft. Hood have been gracious enough to allow us use of their facilites since June. During this time, our coach hasn't been charging us to train, but has still dedicated his evenings and weekends to us, even conducting fight camps and traveling to corner fights numerous times.
We need your help.
With your donations, we will be able to secure the location for our own training facility as well as the basic equipment needed to begin.
We are CBT Muay Thai.
Welcome to our journey.
