Send Kit to Science camp!

Meet Kit, a book worm who wants to cure cancer and teach ballet when she grows up. A 9 year old child of a single, working mom, she is FASCINATED by everything STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), and is always making experiments in my bathroom. She is insatiably curious, and wants to know the why behind the world. This summer, she has the opportunity to spend a week at Camp Invention (www.campinvention.org) instead of daycare where she just plays and gets little educational opportunity. There's just one catch: the cost.

I work full time, and while it pays the bills, and her grandparents pay for her ballet classes (I could never afford them myself), a camp tuition cost of $300 is out of my budget by a long shot. She has had a rough year so far, with some mental health issues developing, and has her heart set on a camp full of things she loves: non stop science. With heroes like Bill NYE, Neil Degrasse Tyson, Albert Einstein and Nicola Tesla, who could blame her? Can you help get a deserving kiddo to science camp?
