Change for Joseph

My name is Michael W. Mullen II. I am the director and editor of the short documentary above, Papers for Change. Initially, this project was a final for a documentary class I took at The Ohio State University in the Autumn 2014 semester. It became a bit more personal after speaking with Joseph a few times. Joseph has been a fixture just off campus of The Ohio State University for a few years now. He's a very kind person that immediately welcomed my crew into his life. As shown in the video, Joseph always has a smile on his face despite the hardships he faces.

As stated before, this footage was shot in late 2014 and the final video was released in June 2016. A lot has happened since then. As many current students of The Ohio State University can  tell you, Joseph still sells papers with the enthusiasm shown in this video. However, Joseph has been without a home for around a year.

This campaign isn't intended to pay for a new home for Joseph. It's intended to help him in his day-to-day life and as a kind gesture from anyone willing to support. 100% of the money given will go to Joseph, including any money raised over the set goal. Joseph does not know about this gofundme, and I would like to keep it as a surprise until I make the trip to Columbus, where I will make an attempt to capture footage of his reaction.

I am planning to keep the campaign open until I am able to make it to Columbus in mid-August where I will give Joseph all of the donations at one time. Knowing Joseph, he will be very appreciative of all of the support. As someone who considers Joseph a good friend and a good person, I'll be thankful for any assistance he is given.
