Infertility, a baby for The Frost's

Donation protected
My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for 6 years. We recently found out that we are unable to have a baby without the aid of Invetro Fertilization due to medical reasons. we have already spent thousands of dollars on infertility and IVF is an additional $15,000 we cant afford. Our greatest desire is to have a family of our own, that is why we are asking for help.

In June of 2009, my husband Tom and I married. Almost immediatley we decided to try for a baby. It didn't happen right away like we thought it would. Life became busy with Tom and I working and going to college. Here we are, over 6 years later, no baby.

About a year and a half ago we started seeing a Reproductive Endocrinologist and started testing. Everything came back fine; blood test, ovulation, counts, dye test, ect.... 2 IUI's and 4 clomid/femara cycles later and still no baby. Wanting a second opinion we contacted a another RE. After the consultation the doctor thought I had Endometriosis, (a disease where the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, causing pain, excessive bleeding, infertility, etc...)

Laproscopic surgery is the only way to diagnose Endometriosis. After much debate, I decided to go ahead with the surgery in June of this year. The doctor found stage 2-3 Endometriosis and cut out everything he found, which would only give us a 3 month window before it started growing back. Also found in the surgery was that the Endometriosis had deteriorated the fimbrea ( the fingers on the Fallopian tubes that transfer the egg from the ovary to the Fallopian tube)on the ends of my Fallopian tubes to the point where the ends of the tubes were blunted. Meaning my eggs no matter how many I made were not making it to my uterus. 12% of married couples go through infertility and 3% of them have a problem severe enough to need Invetro Fertilization (ivf)Tom and I happen to be one of those couples. We have spent thousands already in infertility costs after my insurance and are now faced with the fact that ivf costs 15,000 dollars and that none of it will be covered by insurance. In the months after my surgery we tried convincing ourselves that it would be okay if it was just the two of us,that we could travel and be happy not having children..... we can't, the empty feeling, the feeling of sadness in the background isn't going anywhere. Unfortunately my disease isn't going anywhere either, that is why we have started this go fund me. We have put it all out there to try to raise any money we can to help with the cost of us trying to have a family.
                                     Love, Christine and Tom :)
