I need help during a period without income.
I've been out of work a long time, much longer than needed to be classed as long term unemployed, and employment prospects for senior long term unemployed people are meager at best. Many sources say that people in this category are considered unhirable. I've managed through this period of no income with generous aid from others, and now I asking for more.
I will soon be alone with no family in this area and no friends anywhere.
I am asking for help to pay rent, utilities, and buy food, gas, and pay bills until new but very low retirement pay starts, and possible but totally speculative income from possible work starts.
I am also in debt $30,000 in Parent Plus Loans for my child's college, which I have no means of paying and for which the unemployment deferment period has expired. Given that many employers in the U.S. check credit agencies, this unpaid debt greatly reduces my employability.
