Support team 4102 on their journey to the FIRST (FTC) World Championships located in St. Louis, Missouri from April 26th-29th! Team 4102 is the senior robotics team at Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ. After being semi-finalists at the NJ FTC State Championships in February, team 4102 was chosen to advance to the World Championship because of their success this season and in previous years. An all senior team, 4102 is very excited to advancing past States for the first time in their high school careers.
Team 4102 does not receive funding through the school, as other sport teams do. For us to attend this trip, each student is responsible for paying for the total sum of airfare, lodging for 6 nights and all meals/extra expenses. In addition to student expenses, all additions and repairs that need to be made to the robot to make it Worlds competition-ready, will need to be funded. Although the robot does not contain an inappropriate amount of liquids, TSA would have a field day condemning it if we tried to have it take on as “baggage.” Thus the robot and our kit of parts, tools, batteries needs to be driven to St. Louis or shipped by private carriers such as FedEx or UPS.
