David Douglas Girls Basketball

Donation protected
My name is Chris Cavanaugh and I am the Head Girls Basketball Coach at David Douglas. We are raising money for our basketball program. This is my second year as coach and we are putting a lot of time and effort into raising funds to help our program grow. Our goal is to make this program the most competetive we can be and raise the expectations of female athletes at DDHS. Our school provides uniforms (practice and game) and some basketballs for our team, but everything else that we need for the athletes must come from fund raising. David Douglas is a great community, but in a very high poverty area of Portland, all donations will go to offset cost for the players and their families.

Donations this season will go to a few different things: we are hoping to purchase sweatshirts for every player at a cost of $35 - $45 per girl (39 girls total). $533 a year is needed for a Hudl film account so girls and coaches can watch and share film with teams as well as potential colleges. About $600 is spent per season providing food and other travel expenses for the girls during the season. $1000 is needed for us to attend a team camp this summer, as well as approximately another $1000 to pay for summer league tournaments and games. Long term, we would like to purchase new video equipment that would cost approximately $800. Many of these costs are happening now and funds are needed soon.

Any donation and help is greatly appreciated. Please help us in our push to make DDHS Girls Basketball the best it can be. Thank you for your consideration. Go Scots!
