Beverly Jenkins is the recipient of the 2017 Romance Writers of America Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as the 2016 Romantic Times Reviewers’ Choice Award for historical romance. She has been nominated for the NAACP Image Award in Literature. Beverly was featured both in the documentary “Love Between the Covers” and on CBS Sunday Morning. Since the publication of Night Song in 1994, she has been leading the charge for multicultural romance. She has been a constant darling of reviewers, fans, and her peers. In addition to garnering accolades for her work from the likes of The Wall Street Journal, People Magazine, and NPR.


That’s what her bio tells you. Allow me to share the emotional impact on thousands of readers of stories told by the woman known as Beverly Jenkins. It’s her writing skills that capture your mind first. For me it is the fact filled historical romance that tells a past not found in our schoolbooks. Next it is the clandestine NIA series, which takes protecting the country’s democracy to a level we pray we have. Last, it is visiting the real small town, Henry Adams, KS that was purchased during an auction as Beverly turned it into the most delightful story of a community that opens its arms to orphan children. Each story entices you to get to know the woman who creates characters we want to spend our lives with and the settings we try to recreate within our communities. Beverly’s stories encourage, enlighten, educate and the most important of all, teach you to love. You literally fall in love with her oh so fine men, and the strong, independent women.

Let’s talk about passing the torch. Beverly has mentored many authors through the process of writing that first novel and guided many more through the professional side of the publishing industry. By her actions, Beverly taught us how to appreciate readers and their devotion to authors. Beverly Jenkins showed us how to tell our stories our way.

WE, Beverly and Siri Austin are asking for your assistance to raise the funds needed to  complete this project. All donations to this campaign received by Siri Austin Entertainment will be used towards the  production and promotion of Deadly Sexy the movie.  We have 30 days to reach our goal. Yes, it is aggressive. Yes, it is a short amount of time. However, we believe your love for Beverly and the thought of seeing her work on film will get us to that goal.
