Debbie's holistic cancer treatment

Donation protected
Since being diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer in 2010, Debbie has been stoic and stubborn.  She has been determined to battle and defeat this disease.  Throughout the myriad of treatment modalities she has endured, she has remained dedicated to her faith and overly protective of causing concern or burdern for those around her.  She has refused to need or accept help from others for most of this journey unless she was physically incapacitated by the affects of her various chemo and radiation therapies.  This last year, the disease has progressed to her brain and at times significanctly impacted her equilibrium, mobility and ultimatey her optimism.  The most recent extended series of daily brain radiation has caused her to lose her hair for the 4th time, and the six week regimen of massive steroids has left her swollen and bloated to the point she claims she looks like a Cabbage Patch Doll!  Yesterady, though, there was a breakthrough discovery in our exploration of alternative therapies.  Debbie had a consult with an Ozone therapy practitioner who was highly engaging and enthusiastic about his ability to improve her condition.  Furthermore this practioner knows and has worked with other patients of her primary Oncologist so there is no concern about the compatibility of this therapy with her current Western Medicine treatment "plan".  In fact, these practitioners insist on attending all future appointments with the Oncology clinic to ensure they are fully integrated into the therapuetic approach.  This was the most inspiring and exhilirating treatment news in a very long time.  We are very excited about the prospect of improvement with but one little hitch, which has prompted the development of this campaign.  The costs of treatment are wholly not covered by medical insurance as the FDA classifies Ozone as "a toxic gas with no medical application".  And, the treatment is not cheap - $1,500/day for a minimum of 30 days for the initial treatment.  This is a challenge for which we do not have an immediate capability to address.  And so, having donated to similar campaigns for others with a similar challenge, we are seeking the support of as wide a base of family, friends and others as possible, to contribute small donations that will hopefully aggregate to offset the cost of this treatment.
