Debra's Bicycle

Debra Robert is one of the amazing artists in Lake Worth who has volunteered her time and talent to paint two of our many Little Free Libraries. Debra accomplished these acts of generosity and creativity despite the ravages of Multiple Sclerosis and the sometimes delibitating treatments her condition requires.

Debra had a bicycle specially outfitted to accommodate her condition which allowed her to navigate anywhere she needed to go to fully engage with her neighbors and friends. That bicycle, clearly identified as a means of transportation for someone with a disability, was stolen despite being carefully locked.

The Lake Worth Little Free Libraries project holds Debra dear to our hearts as a member of our community.  Along with C.W.S. Bar + Kitchen in downtown Lake Worth on Lucerne Avenue, we wish to help make it easier for those who would like to donate to help replace Debra's bicycle. C.W.S. is accepting  cash and check donations and we are offering those who prefer to use a credit card the means to do so here on Go Fund Me. 

Debra has asked that any money donated over and above the cost of the bicycle be passed along to the Wheels For Kids non profit organization. They provide funding for families to cover the cost of customized wheelchairs for children with very special needs.
