For Debs Boys

Donation protected
On Friday 11/22/13 Deborah Averso-Artzt lost her battle with cancer leaving behind 2 beautiful little boys that were her world. The lives of so many have been changed forever by this event. Deb as she was known fondly to all of us was not only a devoted single mother to her 2 boys but a friend to EVERY person that came into here life

The world has been robbed of a beautiful woman far to soon. Deb took everyone in, showed them love, friendship, and compassion. She never passed judgment, always listened to everyone's problems pushing her own aside. Deb was the glue that kept friends together, no matter the miles that separated us. Most importantly she was a devoted mother and the constant rock in her children's lives.

After years of battling cancer on 11/22/13 Deb went in for yet another surgical procedure to remove the cancer that kept returning to her liver. Deb went into the OR with a smile on her face and literally dancing (Oh how we wish we could get on that dance floor one more time with her). This was Deb, smiling and living every minute to the fullest. She had the entire OR team smiling along with her until she fell asleep. Unfortunately Deb did not come out. Complications with the surgery took her from us all much to soon.

Deb was a single mom leaving behind 2 little boys that were her world, Hunter 7 & Brendan 9. Deb worked as schoolteacher in the New York City public school system. As teacher she was able to help impact so many children's lives on a daily basis.

There was never a person lucky enough to meet Deb that she did not instantly befriend. She had a heart bigger than any we've ever known. We should all strive to have half the heart Deb offered the world.

On behalf of Deb's Family, Friends, Sorority Sister's (Sigma Delta Tau), and co-workers in the NY public schools, we are hoping to collect money to help take care of Deb's 2 boys. The money collected will go towards helping to provide for Hunter & Brendan. There is no amount of money in the world to bring back their mommy but hopefully we can help to add some stability to their future. Helping to take care of any needs they may have, that's what Deb would want.

Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated & will go a long way for this family that will never be the same again.
