The Migrant Offshore Aid Station is a rescue organization which saves refugees from capsizing at sea. They were formed in October 2013 in response to the humanitarian disaster of over 400 men,women, and children drowned in the Mediterranean sea.  Since inception, MOAS has rescued over 30,000 people from the world's deadliest maritime migration routes - including the Aegean, Andaman, and Mediterranean seas. Their work is done by skilled search and rescue professionals, and serves a part of the refugee crisis that is often forgotten and severely underfunded.
