EGNY—Productivity & Outreach
Donation protected
Earth Guardians New York is honored to have such strong community and individual support as we move into our second year, actively working to further our outreach and effectiveness in the Hudson Valley Region and beyond.
We seek to strengthen young leaders in their fields of interest and concern as well as nurture their passions so that they may creatively engage in the protection of our community, the planet and the people on it.
Taking a Bioregional approach, we are working in our immediate community with a global outlook—connecting with Earth Guardian Crews all over the planet to protect our earth, air, water and atmosphere.
(Find out more about what we are doing HERE )
We have secured a location in a high-traffic area in Woodstock, NY. for an office which will allow us to expand our Productivity & Outreach here in our community.
Here we will better collaborate with grassroots organizations and individuals, explore mentorship oportunities and partnerships on actions while providing a safe space for young solutionary minded people to participate in workshops and projects together.
How will this help our community?
A community that recognizes the power of young people to make a difference, benefits from the innovative results that occur.
A young person who feels empowered, supported and has a sense of ownership in their community, gives back to their community.
We seek to empower young people with inspiration, ideas, networking and presentation skills, all of which will be directed toward local effectiveness and back out in global outreach.
Why Do We Need An Office?
With a place we can call our own, we will:
—Be more creative about entrepreneurial fundraising development. The space will allow us the opportunity to explore creative ways to to sustain the Center and not just ask for donations.
—Support partnering organizations and assist young people in creating projects and taking actions of their own.
—Keep projects active from day to day.
—Provide meeting spaces for local graasroots organizations, and opportunities for young people to engage with said organizations.
—Host leadership trainings.
With scheduled programming, we can provide much more to the community.
As a youth-led, intergenerational organization, the possibilities for participation and collaboration on this project are endless.
We are exploring innovative entreprenureal avenues for fundraising, and will be creative about our efforts. We hosted our first successful fundraising musical event in August, and are planning two special events leading up to Earth Day in April.

Why Youth Leadership?
"Youth are often prime movers of social change and leaders in innovation. They push boundaries, watch, listen, create, express, and ask hard questions. As the world has shifted from urgency to emergency, these qualities are needed more than ever as we grow the movements toward a more socially and environmentally equitable world." ~Bioneers
