East Spencer PD K9 Program

The East Spencer Police Department is pleased to announce it is in the process of adding a K9 unit. A Police K9 Program teams the local community with the police department in effort to solve crimes more effectively and discourage criminal activity. The addition of a K9 Unit to our department will broaden our capabilities of service to make the City of East Spencer a safer community.

It takes a special dog with the right personality and learning capability to serve alongside police officers and prevent and deter unlawful activities that leave our citizens and business owners victimized. K9’s also serve as ambassadors to strengthen public relations and the opinions of the local law enforcement community.

Adding a valuable Police K9 Unit to the East Spencer Police Department will not be possible or successful without private funding from our citizens and business leaders. It is our goal to continue this valuable program for our community for years to come.
