Evalyn's Hydrotherapy Swim Spa
Donation protected
Update.... This is a new campaign as someone vandalised the original pool. We would have made a new campaign if we realised the papers were going to add a gofundme link but they used our old one from 2016 that had raised £3k via this platform. We never intended to raise money but was done automatically by the press.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being so kind.
If our house insurance does pay out we will donate the left over funds to charity and will post on here what we have done.

Evalyn was born on the 23rd Dec 2013, she was born happy and healthy or so we thought .... over the last 21 months we have discovered that Evalyn was born with a rare Brain Migration Disorder called Pachygyria.
Pachygyria is a developmental condition caused by abnormal migration of nerve cells ( neurons ) in the developing brain and nervous system, symptoms vary among affected people and may include moderate to severe developmental delay, Epilepsy / seizures, poor muscle tone and control (cerebral palsy), feeding or swallowing difficulties and small head size (microcephaly).
Unfortunately Evalyn has all of the above, Due to the damage to her brain she also forgets to breath at night unfortunately there is no cure and treatment is solely theraputic, which is why we are trying to raise money to buy her a hydrotherapy swim spa.
Hydrotherapy is a water- based physiotherapy program and is not available on the NHS, the benefits of hydrotherapy are immense and diverse.
It helps increase gross motor co- ordination, maintain and increase range of movement and flexibility, increase muscle strength, improve balance and posture, improve fitness and endurance, promote breathing control and provide sensory feedback with the added benefit of heat based pain relief from muscle spasms.
In some countries hydrotherapy is seen as a vital part of conventional medicine but here in the UK it is seen as complementary therapy and disabled people and families find it extremely difficult to access these therapies, which is why we would also like to open up the use of the hydro pool to our local community with children with simular issues as Evalyn, this will be run with help from our physiotherapist.
We know this will take time to raise the funds but we would be eternally grateful for any donation or help while we await approval of a charity registration.
Thank you
Michelle and Jonathan
