Ft. Marcy Dog Park

Dogs & dog owners - please support the Ft. Marcy Dog Park.
Dogs parks have been identified and the number one use needed in the parks of Santa Fe.
The City of Santa Fe and a few neighbors have started planning for a dog play area to be built at Ft. Marcy Park , just south of the tennis counts.
The City has dedicated the space for the dog use, but the community will have to raise the money to build the infrastructure.
We started this campaign to raise community funds and so far have raised over $3400 through GoFundMe.
Proof of concept was a small fenced area set up by the Parks Dept. in October 2017 and has been used by hundreds of dogs since it was opened. We started raising money for a few benches and agility equipment. Later phases would include a shade structures, water and landscaping. Since we started this campaign, a City Councilor and major donor have added their support to get this through the City and funded for more amenities, faster! Amazing job Santa Fe! Construction is scheduled for summer 2018 with shade, ground cover, agility equipment and water!
We are not done. We would like to complete the GoFundMe campaign strong with lots of community support. Donate what you can. Thanks!
Ft Marcy is used by dozens of dog walkers daily and has existing arroyo trails that connect at the Park. The proposed site site is currently unused open space located off Old Taos Highway and between two trails into the park. There is plenty of parking nearby in the Park.
Thanks for your support. Your dog will thank you.
