I'm going to Vienna in July 2017 for a five-week intensive development program for young professional dancers and choreographers. DanceWEB is part the annual ImPulzTanz International Festival of contemporary dance.

This is an immense honor and opportunity for me; I am the first dance artist from Wales to  be selected from a global applicant pool of 958 dancers from 58 countries and one of two artists from the UK.  So it is a big deal for me! Please find information on my work as a dance artist here

WHY RAISE ££ IF YOU'VE ALREADY BEEN AWARDED THE RESIDENCY?

To confirm participation,
danceWEB nominees are required to solicit 1/3 o
f the program cost from "regional and/or national funding bodies." The European Commission and Austrian
funding bodies will each pay 6.450,00 €
 - - -  so long as I can fund the final EUR 2.150
before June 1st.

I'm lucky and have already met this quote through  a private doner.

However travel costs and per diems (daily living expenses) aren't included in the scholarship/residency....

The upside is that a fundraising effort like this one can really bring a community together. I have been hustling day & night to put together this fund-raising campaign, and I've been sincerely touched by the encouragement, advice and support of everyone I've turned to. Wales has an amazing, progressive dance sector and I'm more than willing to contrib
ute to with workshops and classes on upon my return.

This project is about us. I would love for you to have a stake in this. How can this project bring us closer as dance community? How can this opportunity serve your interests?  So I've striven to offer pledge rewards that bring you in on all the excitement. Commission a question or two! Plan on being at the autumn workshop(s) and/or presentation(s)!  [see below]

The workshop will offer dancers and performers an opportunity to engage techniques and insights I bring back from ImPulzTanz, complete with a take-away print publication of supporting materials, original writing and a big hug. Can't really predict beforehand what from ImPulzTanz will be in the workshop, but know that I will definetly be coming back to Cardiff with an array of skills and an insight to new and progressive dance practices and methodologies.

The Presentation is tailored for a general audience and will include a screening of videos from Vienna, reports of fascination and a lengthy Q/A discourse. Make sure your interests are served by posing me questions to investigate! I will develop comprehensive answers -even interview people at ImpluzTanz - and address your curiosity during the presentation as well as in an accompanying print publication. I will also update blogs via online magazine  Bellyflop

I really hope you could help contribute in my journey to Vienna!

Diolch yn fawr/Thank you
