Living my dream to hike the AT

My life long dream has been to hike the Appalachian trail (AT). I have spent my life yearning for my chance to live my dream. I was never able to make the time, have the funds, or both. Hiking alone sounds easy enough (it's not), but it's not exactly cheap. It costs money to resupply food do laundry, occasional hostel stays and responsibilities at home.

I watched my father pass away this past July (2016) after a long battle with lung cancer and while he had a wonderful fulfilling life, he was never able to live out his retirement dream of traveling the country. I have finally come to a point in my life that I need to make my dream happen and not just wait for it to happen.
Being able to stand on top of Springer Mountain Georgia and take the first of approximately 5 million steps to Mt. Katahdin Main would not be just for me. I will take every step in my father's memory and I know he will be with me every step of the way. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for just taking the time to read this and please know that every penny that is donated will go to helping me live my dream of Thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail.
