Give More Than Trump

So: famed turkey Donald Trump has tweeted a lot of wild stuff over the years. I think this one is underrated:


From the beginning of 2009 to this summer, when Trump was pressured into making a donation to veterans' groups he'd long promised, do you know how much this "maximum expression of real generosity" personally gave to charity? 

According to the research of the great David Fahrenthold , in those seven years Trump gave a total of ten thousand dollars.  Which leads to two thoughts:

1) Really, dude? That's it? Gross.
2) We can beat that.

Let's beat that! All donations here (minus GoFundMe's 4.25% cut) will benefit the American Refugee Committee, a charity that provides health care, shelter and other services to refugees from Syria, Rwanda, Myanmar and other embattled countries in Africa and Asia. ARC spends 92% of its budget on its programs, earning it an A+ rating from CharityWatch and a four-star rating from Charity Navigator. A donation will help people in need, including members of all the groups Trump has bashed (refugees, women, people of color, Muslims... boy, he's been busy). It will add one more pebble on the avalanche of humiliation that awaits him in November.
