Help for Free Spirit Sanctuary
Donation protected
Meet Appy, one very special blind, feral horse who was rescued from an auctionand destined for meat slaughter. Appy and her fellow rescued friends at the Free Spirit Sanctuary (FSS) desperately need your help.
As some of you know, the drop in oil prices has resulted in a severe economic downturn in the province of Alberta, Canada. Many not-for-profit charity organizations have been hit exceptionally hard by this downturn. One such organization is the Free Spirit Sanctuary which provides a lifelong home on 120 acres to domestic and wild horses, donkeys and mules rescued from abuse, neglect or slaughter.
FSS and Appy need your help to cover an $8000 hay bill scheduled to arrive this week. The founder has tapped her own personal finances to help cover ongoing costs. Let's help this wonderful sanctuary get all the hay they need for a healthy, warm winter.
Who am I and why am I asking for your help? I am an animal lover and advocate who recently found out about the financial shortfall at FSS. I have also had the great joy to have visited the sanctuary in past years to spend time with the horses, enjoy nature, and particiapte in group meditation. To say FSS is a special place does not describe the peace and calm that can be found there. And to the horses and other rescue animals who call FSS home, it is EVERYTHING.
Please help them today. Even if you can only donate a few dollars, every dollar counts and will help them all make it through the coming winter.
Thank you!
